Pakistani actor Fawad Afzal Khan kick-started his Bollywood career alongside Indian actress Sonam Kapoor and the two co-actors became the best of friends. Although Fawad has not been to India for a while, but his friend Sonam didn’t forget him and shared the sweetest birthday message for him.

Like the heartthrob he is, Fawad wooed the Bollywood industry with his first movie ‘Khoobsurat’ and made millions of fans. The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actor recently turned 36 and his co-star Sonam wished him with a heartwarming message. "A very happy birthday Fawad! Hope you receive all the joy and happiness on this special day!"

Sonam also accompanied the message with a picture of her with Fawad, probably from the sets of their movie.

Fawad previously revealed his attachment with Sonam saying, "I am emotionally attached to Sonam. I really enjoy her company. I really want to work with her and the whole team again," he was quoted by Pink Villa.

Sonam also had all the nicest words for Fawad, “What does one say about a man who is a gorgeous and gifted with magnificent acting talent? When we were looking at casting for the character ‘Vikram’, we needed someone who can look regal effortlessly.”

“Very few people know that he is a funny guy in real life. They get to see his shy and intense side more often though, which we don’t mind at all,’’ she added.

On work front, both actors are currently busy shooting for their upcoming movies. Fawad with Bilal Lashari’s ‘Maula Jatt 2’ remake of Younis Malik’s 1979 ‘Maula Jatt’ and Sonam with ‘Veere Di Wedding’ alongside Kareena Kapoor.
