Germans vow to invest in Pakistan

Dr Gregor Schotten, Counsellor and Head of Mission German Embassy on Monday said the business community of Germany is very keen to explore Pakistani market, which offers great opportunities to the investors. Dr Gregor said that application for visa should be submitted in German Embassy at least three weeks before departure.
He said while talking to Muhammad Raza Khan, Chairman Co-ordination at Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI) here. On the occasion, Raza Khan said that the two countries are already co-operating in fields of economy, education, defence, infrastructure and energy, adding that co-operation needs to be enhanced.
He thanked Germany for unprecedented contribution for flood-affected people, which was around $300 million that included $210 million that has been donated by ordinary German people.
Raza also thanked the German government for the support it has given to Pakistan in getting larger share in export to the European Union (EU). He said that Pakistan needs to get benefit from German expertise in the area of renewable energy and agriculture sector including preservation of milk and milk products.
