There is a lesson to be learnt, how the US government, from top to bottom, has come into motion to rescue a contract employee of the American embassy, of the level of a guard, who has murdered three Pakistani citizens. On the other hand, the silence and inactivity of our own government to get a learned lady, Dr Aafia Siddqui released, is shameful to say the least.
If Pakistan has strength and courage to stand on her feet, this is a golden opportunity to get her released in exchange for the release of Davis; which seems to be evident under the pressure of their boots. I pray to God, may He bestow the courage to our courts to award exemplary punishment to the murderer; 84 years of imprisonment, if not the death penalty.
