Imposition of anti-dumping duty on textile fabrics: CE TDAP to raise issue with Turkish authorities

In order to resolve the issue related to anti-dumping duty proposed to be imposed by Turkey on textile fabrics, CE TDAP will call upon Turkish authorities including Zafar Caylan Minister of Commerce and Ali Babacan, Minister for Finance to convey the government of Pakistan's stance.
In a statement issued by TDAP here on Tuesday, Tariq Iqbal Puri, C E, TDAP upon the instructions of Government of Pakistan, has gone to Turkey to convene talks with Turkish authorities regarding the said issue. In order to evaluate the issue and to muster support of local importers and manufacturers, CE TDAP held a meeting with leading Turkish importers of Fabric, denim fabric and ready made garment manufacturers.
During the meeting very fruitful and informative exchange of views took palace. Puri after explaining the purpose of his visit, solicited the views of Turkish business Community. Turkish Businessman stated that this measure is totally unjustified and requested Puri to convey their feelings to Turkish authorities, Building on these fruitful discussions CE TDAP will in the coming days call upon Turkish authorities in Ankara including Zafar Caylan Minister of Commerce and Ali Babacan, Minister for Finance to convey the views of Government of Pakistan and of businessmen of both countries.-PR
