Rehabilitation of 21 schools in Lower Dir

To improve education system in conflict and flood-hit areas, the government has completed the rehabilitation and renovation of 21 government Schools in Lower Dir under Malakand Development Programme. The rehabilitation work on 12 more schools is under process. Furniture and other necessary equipment have been provided to restore education activities in the area.
These schemes will benefit thousands of students and teachers in the area. According to Malakand Development Programme (MDP), in far-flung and affected areas of Lower Dir, the government had started the rehabilitation work on 33 damaged government schools after improving situation in the area. So far around 21 schools have been rehabilitated and equipped by constructing additional classrooms, boundary walls etc. Work on 12 schools is under process in the district.
In Adenzai and Timergara Sub-Divisions the rehabilitation work in government girls higher secondary school, government girls high school, government girls primary school, government primary school Chakdara, government high school Asbanr, government primary school Asbanr, government college of technology Kandarro and government vocational training center for women Timergara are under process where construction of class rooms, toilets, boundary walls, water tanks, flooring, electrification and white washing are being completed. Chairs, tables, pedestal and ceiling fans, white boards, steel cupboards, water coolers, computers, printers, photocopiers and other necessary IT equipment have been provided to these education institutions to improve the learning environment. These development schemes not only encourage the new students but would also benefit thousands of students and teachers in the area.
