Residence of Zulfiqar Mirza's relative: two maid servants steal valuables worth over Rs 20 million

Domestic servants on Tuesday ran away with valuables worth over Rs 20 million from the residence of one of the relatives of Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza in the limits of Darakhsha police station. According to police, two maids namely Mehwish and Nadia took away valuables worth over Rs 20 million from the residence of industrialist Umer Farooq son of Naseem Farooq located at Kayaban-e-Mujahid, DHA phase V in the limits of Darakhsha police station.
They said the domestic servants, who concealed the plundered goods including Rolex watches and diamonds in their handbags, were working in Umer's house for the last seven months. Rana Amjad, SHO Darakhsha police station said the police had lodged an FIR 55/2011 against Mehwish and Nadia and started conducting raids for their arrests.
Meanwhile, Ishaq Lashari, an investigation officer of this case said that these maids, who hailed from Southern Punjab, replaced their mother and working in Umer's house for the last seven months. Later, the police have claimed to arrest both female-embezzlers along with their accomplice Ameen and recovered all stolen goods from their possession.
According to DSP Zamir Abbasi, police conducted raid on a house located at Gulshan-e-Iqbal and arrested Mehwish and Nadia with all stolen goods. He said the raid was conducted on the information of Ameen, who was earlier arrested from Defence. He further said the accused Ameen was said to be a mastermind of this burglary and also a relative of these maids.
