Federal Capital: 110 street crimes recorded at 14 police stations

Change of command in Federal Police has not sent a strong signal to street criminals as people are being deprived of their valuables at will. Almost 110 incidents of street crime were recorded in 14 police stations of the capital that include vehicle snatching, theft, robberies, cheating, purse snatching, sex trade, bootlegging, drug trafficking and possession of illegal arms.
The current week data shows that Islamabadites were deprived of their valuables worth millions of rupees including cars, motorcycles, cash, gold ornaments, watches and cell-phones, computers etc.
The data collected by this scribe from different police stations of the capital Islamabad Police have nabbed 102 outlaws including 15 women during the week for their alleged involvement in street crimes, bootlegging, drug pushing, dacoities, vehicle snatching, robberies etc.
Police have recovered two repeaters along with three other 12-bore guns, one 8mm rifle, 12 pistols (30-bore and 32-bore), three daggers and 510 bullets and cartridges from detained outlaws. Islamabad Police have recovered 2.1-kilogram heroin, 4.5-kilogram charas and 150 bottles of liquor during the week.
This week the car lifters have deprived people of 15 vehicles including one Shahzore mini-truck, three Suzuki pick ups, six Mehran cars, one Suzuki Margalla car, two Toyota Corolla, two Suzuki vans, while 12 motorcycles were also snatched.
