Minister directs IGP for tight security of 'Chup Taazia' procession

Sindh Home Minister, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has directed the Inspector General of Sindh Police to make extra ordinary security arrangements on the eve of 'Chup Taazia' Procession, to be taken out on 8th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
He has directed for strict watch on all entry and exit points in the province as well as for patrolling, snap checking, picketing and all other necessary security arrangements for the event, said a statement issued here on Sunday.
The Provincial Minister further directed the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Karachi to deploy additional police force on the routes of 'Chup Taazia' procession. He said that all Town Police Officers (TPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs), be directed to make special security arrangements for majalis. Dr Zulfiqar Mirza directed the Sindh Police Chief that elaborate security arrangements be made with the co-ordination of Pakistan Rangers, Sindh.
He directed that besides sweeping and clearance of the routes of processions, the availability of bomb disposal squad be also ensured.
All the lanes and service roads leading to main routes of the procession be also secured while the concerned police stations be also directed to ensure necessary security arrangements in this regard, he said.
