Crackdown on 'ghost teachers' soon: minister

Senior minister for education, Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq said here Sunday that crackdown on 'ghost teachers' and corrupt officials of his department would soon be launched.
Talking to the newsmen at the residence of MPA, Mir Hassan Khoso after visiting the flood-affected areas of district Jacobabad, he said irregularities had been reported in Garhi Khero tehsil of the district where officials made excessive recruitment through adjustment.
The minister directed District Co-ordination Officer, Sajid Jamal Abro to conduct inquiry and submit him detailed report about these irregularities. He also directed education officers of the district to immediately pay salaries to junior schoolteachers that have been deprived of salaries for 10 months. He warned them of action in case of non-compliance of the direction.
