Rates mixed as activity improves on grain market

Trading activity improved on the wholesale gain and seed market on Tuesday as prices moved both ways, dealers said. On the cereal side noong Punjab lost Rs 250 to Rs 10,000, masoor Canada registered at Rs 6800, masoor dal Canada was quoted at Rs 8200.
Urad Burma followed the same pattern, shedding Rs 100 to Rs 3200. Wheat old Bardana registered at Rs 2630-2655 and wheat new Bardana quoted at Rs 2645-2650, other items were unmoved in process of trading, they said. On the grams sector grams Australian fell by Rs 100 to Rs 5150-5350 and grams dal Australia also shed Rs 100 to Rs 6100-6300 during trading session, they said.
Single change was seen on the seed side where cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type depreciated by Rs 35 to Rs 1225 and best type was up by Rs 5 to Rs 1280, they said. Prices on the rice counter were unchanged in process of trading due to balanced demand and supply position, they said.
