Hundreds of vehicles including vehicles loaded with supplies for security forces were stuck up on Quetta-Karachi highway on Saturday after the traders blocked the road to protest massive robbery at Jhalawan Bus Terminal at night between Friday and Saturday.
"Unknown armed robbers had broken locks of dozens of shops at Jhalawan Bus Terminal and looted goods worth millions of rupees", police sources said adding that efforts were being put to trace out the clue of the bandits.
Law enforcement agencies reached the affected place and cordoned off the entire area to trace out the looters while a search operation had been launched in this regard, police officials said. Traders of the bus terminal and other shopkeepers blocked Quetta-Karachi highway to protest the massive robbery. They raised slogans against no stern action against criminal Mafia looting citizens, shopkeepers and common people, and demanded immediate arrest of the robbers besides putting a halt to rising heinous crimes in the region.
