Chief minister Punjab meets MPAs

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Sunday met the assembly legislators and stated that Pakistan was facing serious challenges and there was a greater need for tolerance, brotherhood and unity. He impressed upon for collective efforts for solution of problems faced by the nation adding that menace of terrorism and extremism to be routed out.
Shahbaz said that the whole nation should be united on one platform for the stability of the country and stressed on foiling the designs of those who were trying to create chaos in the country.
He said nature had blessed the country with vast resources, unfortunately during the last 63-year habit of leaning on foreign aid had been made a habit, Shahbaz added. Stressing on accountability, he pointed that austerity and elimination of corruption would promote development.
He said governance and merit was being applied in the Province where non-development expenditure had been curtailed and resources were being spent on the welfare of the masses. Legislators' Dr Saeed Elahi, Muhammad Naeem and Khawja Imran Nazir met the Shahbaz on the occasion.
