PAL launches book on Ghulam Rasool Alampuri

Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri is one of the prominent poets of Punjabi language. His poetry covers a variety of subjects relating to religion, Sufism and spiritual love. These views were expressed by Muhammad Mansha Yad while presiding over a seminar on prominent Punjabi Poet Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri arranged by Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL).
Appreciated the PAL's project 'Makers of Pakistani Literature', Mansha Yad said that through this project the Academy has made the availability of books on the lives and works of imminent, classical as well as contemporary writers on concessional prices. He said that Maulvi Ghulam Rasool is a legend poet in all genre of poetry.
Dr Gohar Noshai said that Maulvi Ghulam Rasool is one of the imminent poets of Punjabi language and his poetry is an asset to Pakistani languages and literature. Dr Arshad Mehmood Nashaad praised the precise style of Maulvi Ghulam Rasool. Mir Tanha Yousafi expressed his amazement over Maulvi Ghulam Rasool's command on language and style saying that he decorated his poetry with symbols and words from Arabic and Persian languages in a way that the readers didn't find them unfamiliar. PAL's book 'Maulvi Ghulam Rasool Alampuri: Life and Works' under the series of publications, 'Makers of Pakistani Literature' was also launched in the ceremony.
