Vice President SCBA Malik Zubair Khalid, Vice Chairman PBC Lehrasab Khan Gondal, its members Ahsan Bhoon, Ramzan Chaudhry and Azam Nazir Tarar and LBA President Shahzad Sheikh said, Asma Jahangir is true voice of legal fraternity and fighting for the rule of law and supremacy of the constitution.
While condemning the statements of some Karachi-based lawyer's representatives against SCBA president Asma Jahangir, they said in their joint statement issued here Wednesday that some lawyers of a particular group from Karachi who oppose the appointment of ad hoc judges assumed themselves the leader of whole community. They said the legal community was also concerned about that judgement of apex court as the judgement was itself contrary to letter and in spirit of 19th amendment.
