Business community has always played vital role not only in nation building, but also in restoring peace in the city, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Wajid Ali Durrani here on Wednesday.
Peaceful environment is essential to accelerate business activates in the city and all-out efforts are being made to upgrade Islamabad Police and community policing is being encouraged, which help resolve general issues, the IGP, said while talking to business leaders of Islamabad, who called on him under the leadership of acting President Islamabad Chambers of Commerce and Industries (ICCI), Tauseef Zaman.
Business community of Islamabad has always extended their co-operation to the police on all occasions, which is commendable and we expect that they will continue their support for maintaining law and order situation in the Capital city. He said that their proposals have already been submitted to the higher authorities and assured the delegation that their problems will be resolved on priority. He directed the concerned police officials to immediately look into the problems and take corrective measures forthwith.
Acting President ICCI Tauseef Zaman said that business community of Islamabad pays tribute to the Policemen who have sacrificed their lives to provide the security to the people. He said that police is doing tremendous job to maintain peace in the city. He said that Islamabad Police with great skills and efficiency have been performing their duties to maintain law and orders in Federal area. IGP thanked business community for their cooperation and hoped that it would be kept on in future as well.
