Islamabad police arrest 18 accused

Islamabad Police during its anti-criminals drive rounded up 18 accused and recovered arms and liquor from their possession, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Thursday. Bhara Kahu Police has succeeded in arresting an accused Usman Munir son of Muhammad Munir for his alleged involvement in a theft case and he is being questioned, the spokesman said.
Tarnol Police nabbed Muhammad Waqas son of Muhammad Riaz of Karamwal Taxila for his alleged involvement in dacoity and was being questioned. Industrial Area Police nabbed an accused allegedly involved in theft. The accused, Naeem Masih son of Sameul Masih is being questioned, he added.
He added that Sabzi Mandi Police nabbed two accused Noor Saeed son of Murtaza and Zaman son of Saifur Rehman for their alleged involvement in possession of illegal arms and involvement in theft, they are also being questioned. Golra Police on pointation of two detained persons Muhammad Asim and Abrar has recovered two pistols (30-bore).
Koral Police raided a brothel when it was informed about immoral activities in the area. Five persons including two women were arrested in the raid, who were identified as Muhammad Bota, Nasir, Qurban, Asia and Rabia. Koral Police, Secretariat Police and Margalla Police in the operation against suspected persons have nabbed seven suspects who have failed to prove their identity. Separate cases were registered against the detained persons and they are being questioned for further investigation, the spokesman said and added that SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan praised the performance of the Capital Police.
