Karachi suffers Rs six billion losses

11 Mar, 2011

Last week in Karachi, there were two days of strike on Thursday Mar 4, 2011 by the transporters and on Friday Mar 5, 2011 by the Sunni Tehreek. The strike was to protest the raise in POL prices by 10% but later the government decided to withdraw 50 percent of the prices back, due to a sharp reaction from the business community, transporters and political parties.
Presently, Pakistan is passing through critical conditions (its worst period) those who called for a strike damaged their country's economy and were not sincere to the country. We can't afford this strike culture in Pakistan. The economy is already on the decline because of inadequate supply of energy and for law and order in country. It is requested that any more strike calls are avoided if people are sincere and honest Pakistanis and love their own country.
