Transporters increase fares in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the light of revised diesel price of Rs 82/21 per litre in accordance with its notification dated 28th August, 2008 has revised fares on inter provincial/intra district routes.
According to the detail, the new revised fare of ordinary (non AC) mini buses of Mingora- Rawalpindi will be charged as Rs 221/00, Abbottabad-Rawalpindi Rs 97/56, Mansehra-Rawalpindi Rs 120/84, Peshawar-Rawalpindi Rs 132/30 and Mardan- Rawalpindi Rs 116/68.
Similarly, the carriage deluxe non-AC buses will charge the new fare of Peshawar-Faisalabad as Rs 392/97, Peshawar-Multan Rs 607/71, Mingora-Lahore Rs 418/08, Peshawar-Sargodah Rs 282/10 and Peshawar-Lahore Rs 326/90 while AC ST Carriage buses from Peshawar to D.I.Khan will be charged Rs 336/00, Peshawar-Abbottabad Rs 193 Peshawar- Mingora Rs 172 and Peshawar-Mansehra Rs 217/00.
Similarly, new fares on inter/intra city/district routes for flying coaches/mini buses, AC buses ordinary buses and luxury buses respectively will be for Peshawar-Mardan as Rs 56/26, Rs 67/86, Rs 48/14 and Rs 53/36, Peshawar-Mingora- Rs 166.84, Rs 201/24, Rs 142/76 and Rs 158/24, Peshawar- Swabi Rs 115/43, Rs 139.23, Rs 98.77 and Rs 109/48, Peshawar-Charsadda Rs 26/19, Rs 31.59, Rs 22/41 and Rs 24:84, Peshawar-Bannu Rs 186/24, Rs 224/64, Rs 159/36 and Rs 176/64, Peshawar-D.I.Khan Rs 325/92, Rs 393/12, Rs 278/88 and Rs 309/12, Peshawar-Kohat Rs 63/05 Rs 76/05, Rs 53/95 and Rs 59/8, Peshawar-Hangu Rs 99.91 Rs 120/51, Rs 85/49, and Rs 94/76, Peshawar-Dir Rs 242/5 Rs 292/5 Rs 207/5 and Rs 230 Peshawar-Haripur Rs 151/32, Rs 182/52, Rs 129/48, and Rs 143/52, Peshawar-Abbottabad Rs 187/21, Rs 225/81, Rs 160/19 and Rs 177/56 and Peshawar-Mansehra Rs 210/49, Rs 253/89, Rs 180/11 and Rs 199/64.
The PTA has also directed that the new fare tables be displayed at visible places at general bus stands and inside passenger vehicles for information of transporters, passengers and the violating transporters and drivers be brought to book under intimation to their office.
