Around 20,000 Pakistanis stranded in Libya

Around 15,000 to 20,000 Pakistanis are stranded in Libya and the Monitoring Committee set up in Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) is monitoring the situation and facilitating their early repatriation. The committee is working under the supervision of Deputy Managing Director OPF.
Talking to APP, MD OPF Habib Ur Rehman Khan said that the Committee is working in close co-ordination with the Special Task Force established in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad. OPF Airport Facilitation Counters have been instructed to remain vigilant to provide necessary facilitation/assistance to the overseas Pakistanis being repatriated from Libya.
Habib Ur Rehman informed that a Crisis Cell had also been established in Welfare and Services Division of OPF to co-ordinate with all OPF Regional Offices, OPF Airport Facilitation Counters, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and our Missions abroad.
