Seeds prices decline as wholesale market demand falls

Prices of seed items declined on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as a result of less demand, dealers said. Several changes were seen on the seeds sector, where rapeseeds Dadulane shed Rs 50 to Rs 1950-2000, rapeseeds Mirpurlane followed the same pattern, losing Rs 115 to Rs 2025-2035, rapeseeds cakes slipped by Rs 10 to Rs 860-870. Til also came down sharply by Rs 300 to Rs 3500-3800.
Castorseed Lasbela was quoted at Rs 2100-2200 and castorseed Sindh was down by Rs 100 to Rs 2000 and cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 5 to Rs 1375 while the low type was unchanged at Rs 1325, they said. Cereals, rice and grams sectors were unmoved in process of slow trading, they added.
