Taiwan stocks bounce

Taiwan stocks finished up 1.09 percent on Wednesday as investors sought bargains in automating issues, which have plunged over 11 percent in the last two sessions. The main TAIEX share index rose 89.8 points to 8,324.58, after opening up 1 percent. Automobile issues surged 4.5 percent and rubber issues were up 3.4 percent.
Electronic shares edged up 0.98 percent while financial issues climbed 1.08 percent. HTC jumped 6.7 percent after its CEO Peter Chou was quoted saying the company did not face supply chain disruptions.
