Birjees Talat Nizami wife of ZA Nizami, President Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association and Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) died in Washington (USA) after protracted illness on Saturday. She leaves behind five sons and two daughters to mourn her death. Her one son and one daughter are in Washington, one son in Dubai and two sons in Karachi.
She was a famous writer and had produced nine books including Naow Bahanawar Main, Kalian, Phool and Kantay, Affkar-e-Birjees, Ahsas Kay Saye and five other books. Quran Khawani for the departed soil will be held on Sunday between Asar and Maghrib Prayers at Nizam's Residence D-134 Block-4 Clifton behind Chinese Consulate. Telephone 35865229.
The news about the death of Birjees Talat came at the time the convocation of SSUETT was in progress under the chairmanship of Mr Nizami himself. However he remained composed and continued to preside over the proceedings and left immediately at the conclusion.
