The Directorate General Intelligence & Investigation (I&I)-FBR arrested two persons for evasion of duty/taxes worth millions of rupees, says a press release issued here on Saturday.
According to details, the Directorate General Intelligence & Investigation-Gujranwala on receipt of a tip-off regarding Sales Tax evasion of Rs 29 million by M/s Gujrat Precasting Industries, carried out a raid on an unregistered entity, making taxable supplies without the payment of Sales and FED leviable thereon. Two persons identified as Marghoob Shakir Izhar and Muhammad Muzaffar Iqbal were arrested and the evaded amount recovered.-PR
