Protest held against arrest of Hamid Kazmi

Four unidentified people opened fire on the rally taken out against the arrest of former federal minister, Hamid Saeed Kazmi here on Sunday morning. As per details, hundreds of students of Jamaat-e-Ahle - Sunnat staged a protest demonstration at Bahawalpur Bypass led by Tahir Saeed Kazmi, the younger brother of Hamid Saeed Kazmi.
Protestors were shouting slogans against the arrest of Hamid Saeed Kazmi and were demanding of his immediate release. The whole protest demonstration was going on peacefully when four unidentified people opened fire on the protestors, which caused disturbance. The protestors got angry with that firing and broke the windows of different vehicles and motorbikes. Heavy police constabulary reached at the spot just after the firing. One of the firemen has been arrested and shifted to hospital because of injuries whereas other three succeeded to escape. The eyewitness told Business Recorder that police constabulary used baton charge to disperse the protestors due to which dozens of student got injuries. Most of the protestors were young students who were warning the government that arrest of Hamid Saeed Kazmi is unjust.
