University of Punjab, Law Colleges, Assistant Professor, Dr Aman Ullah Malik's thesis on "Judicial Activism and Human Rights In Pakistan and India: Right to Life" which has now been published in Germany. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated Dr Aman Ullah on publication of his thesis.
The research focused on the judicial activism in the form of judicial review of a constitutional amendment, inconsistent with basic structure of the constitution including fundamental rights. It would provide a lot of research material and help resolve the longstanding issue of the basic structure theory in the constitution, power of judicial review of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and implied limitations on the Constitutional Amendment Power of the Parliament.-PR
