Islamabad police nab 28 suspects

Islamabad Police arrested ten suspects and 18 outlaws during search operation in different parts of the city, recovering five-kg charas, illegal weapons and looted items from their possession, said spokesman of the force here on Tuesday.
Following the directives of DSP (Saddar) Circle, patrolling team of Tarnol Police arrested Nasir Khan, Azra Bibi and Yasmeen in possession of 2.700-kg charas. Golra Police patrolling party also stopped Shehbaz during a routine checking and after search a pistol (30-bore) and two magazines along with live bullets were recovered from him.
Bhara Kahu Police responding to a tip-off apprehended four drug pushers Faizan, Anjum, Riaz and Nazahat from whom a total of 2.120-kg charas was recovered. Aabpara Police nabbed Ejaz Asghar allegedly involved in different cases of theft and during the preliminary investigation police recovered looted items worth Rs 24,000 from him.
Special Police team led by SHO Sabzi Mandi Police Inspector Ghulam Muhammad Baqir and SHO Shehzad Town Police Inspector Mubarak Hussain conducted search operation in their respective jurisdictions and nabbed a total of 10 suspects as well as four beggars. Investigation is underway from the suspected persons.
SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated performance of policemen who arrested the suspects and outlaws and directed all police officials to conduct search operation against the suspected elements in their area. He said it is the prime responsibility of police to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
