Two women killed in separate incidents

At least two persons were killed and three others injured in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Tuesday. According to details, a 25-year-old married woman was fallen pray to his father on account of honour-killing in the limits of Pirabad police station.
The victim Husan Bibi, who ran away from her house some two years ago and got married with Ashraf, was stabbed to death in an axe attack by her father Gul Chambir, while her husband sustained serious injuries. Police said that the victim Husan Bibi along with her husband was deceived by her father, who invited them for dinner on pretext of settling issue. Police said the accused Gul along with his wife Palvisha and brother Qamar managed to escape after committing this heinous crime. They said the victim, who hailed from Mangora, was the mother of five-month-old baby.
In another incident, a 55-year-old woman was shot dead by her son-in-law over domestic disputes in the limits of Qaidabad police station.
Police said the accused Hazrat Ali, who was invited in local Jirga to resolve the dispute, fired multiple gunshots on his wife Tasneem Akhtar, mother-in-law Zainab, her neighbour Watan Bibi and ran away, leaving them in a pool of blood and Jirga members in shock. They said the accused, who had filed a divorce case in court over serious disputes with her spouse, got married some three years ago. They further said the accused opened indiscriminate fires on them in local Jirga where he was called to resolve the issue.
After committing the crime, the accused managed to flee while police shifted the injured to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where Zainab succumbed to her injuries.
