Founding member of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Dr Mubashir Hassan has demanded US and its allies stop bombing Libya. Dr Mubashir, president PPP (Shaheed Butto) organised a protest in front of the provincial Punjab assembly along with party workers, carrying placards condemning US, UK, France and other Western countries for military assault on Libya.
He termed the attack of Western forces on Libya as a wrong action and said it has led to massive concern all around the world. According to him, no one should be permitted to attack to any country. "We do not support Qadhafi but still they (US and its allies) have no right to attack Libya," he asserted.
Further, he said, the US-led forces have attacked Libya on the pretext that Qadhafi is killing civilians while ignoring that the US has already killed one million civilians in Indonesia and Iraq. Also, he said, an embargo on Iraq has resulted into the death of 500,000 children. Similarly, he went on saying that the US had killed 200,000 persons in East Timor. According to him, the US had killed one million American Indians until 1890, which can not be justified on any count.
Dr Mubashir further recalled that the US had attacked Libya earlier, causing death of the adopted daughter of Colonel Qaddafi. Dr Mubashir has urged the government stop supporting the US. He said Pakistan should come out of the fear of the US and no one should be allowed to conduct drone attacks on Pakistani land.
