Pakistan Day reception held in Berlin

Pakistan Embassy in Berlin organised a reception to celebrate the 71st anniversary of Pakistan Resolution Day in a befitting manner last evening. State Secretary Foreign Affairs, Dr Peter Ammon, German Special Envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Michael Steiner, Members of German Parliament, senior representatives of the office of the President, German Chancellor's Office, and Chief of Protocol, Berlin graced the occasion.
Ambassador Shahid Kamal thanked the guests and said that Pakistan and Germany enjoy cordial relations in all fields of life. These relations have continuously been growing and would continue to grow in the future for the benefit of people of both the countries, he added.
The reception was attended by over 600 guests including Ambassadors, senior diplomats, officials of German government, members of business community, representatives of German Think Tanks, journalists, Pakistan community living in Germany and officials of the Embassy of Pakistan. A musical performance of Sitar, Rebab and Tabla by Pakistani and German artists was also organised on this occasion. The artists played folk and popular tunes of folk songs of all the four provinces of Pakistan. Guests appreciated the performance by Pakistani and German artists.-PR
