Prime Minister greets his Bangladeshi counterpart on Independence Day

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Ms Sheikh Hasina on their National Day falling on March 26th.
In his message, the Prime Minister said, "On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan as well as on my own behalf wish to convey our heartfelt felicitations to you and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the National Day of the People's Republic of Bangladesh."
The Prime Minister said Pakistan greatly values its close fraternal relations with Bangladesh, which have progressed over the years. The two countries closely cooperate at the regional and international forums with the aim of promoting peace, stability and well being of people of the region, the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the bonds of brotherhood, friendship and close co-operation between the countries would continue to grow for the mutual benefit of the two peoples. "I take this opportunity to wish Your Excellency's good health and happiness and continued progress and prosperity for the people of Bangladesh," the Prime Minister said.
