Eloped couple among four killed in city

At least four people including an eloped couple and a minor girl were killed in different incidents in the metropolis here on Saturday. According to details, the strangled bodies of the eloped couple, which were covered in carpets, were recovered from the bushes of Mehran town. The victims, who were wearing traditional dresses and appeared to be Sindhi speaking, apparently killed in the garb of honour.
Police, however, said that no case of their missing had been registered in any police station of the city. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. A case was registered against the unidentified killers on behalf of the state.
A bullet-riddled body of young man was found near Lyari Expressway. Police said the victim, whom hands and legs were tied, received four bullets. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. In another incident, a six year-old girl, Salma, was burnt to death accidentally, when her cloth caught fire while playing in his home situated at slum area of Taiser town, in the limits of Sarjani police station. The body was moved to ASH where her family took her body without completing legal formalities.
