Parents and school representatives were seen at the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK)'s premises having complains of mismanagement at centres during the first ever mock examination in the history of secondary board conducted on March 25, here on Saturday.
BSEK selected 166 schools as centers for examination for 122,562 students. From 400 to 2200 students had been sent to different 166 centers. As per the claim of BSEK, mock examinations would be conducted in an organised manner but unfortunately it didn't happen. According to Chairman BSEK, Anzar Hussain Zaidi, teams of invigilators had visited the schools earlier and given the numbers of students to the board to be accommodated there easily, if true then either those teams had put up wrong facts or board authorities had over looked the ground realities.
PSMA declared it a total failure as not only two students were sitting on a seat but in some small schools where it became an unsolvable problem to accommodate a large number of students who came there to take exam. Three students were sitting on one seat. Nothing is final, the test held on March 25 was a test for board also, now the media reports and the ECS and CCO's report would be scrutinised and board would try to improve the shortcomings during the real examinations, the chairman BSEK said.
