Senate meets today to discuss Zardari's address

The Upper House of the Parliament will meet on Monday (today) here at the Parliament House in the afternoon. It will be the first sitting of the new parliamentary year and 68th session of the Senate.
The Senate in its two-week session will discuss President Asif Ali Zardari's March 22 address to the joint sitting of the Parliament in which he highlighted the performance of the government during last three years and its future strategy to overcome the challenges.
The senate will also discuss law and order situation in the country besides taking up the economic issue and other important national issues during the session. It will also hold discussion on various agenda items and the adjournment motions submitted by various opposition political parties.
