15 accused including 8 gamblers held

Islamabad Police have nabbed 15 accused, including eight gamblers and six suspects from different areas and recovered one Kalashnikov assault rifle, stake money as well as other valuables from their possession. A spokesman of Islamabad Police said that responding on a tipoff, Secretariat Police raided the green belt near Rawal Dam where people were busy in gambling.
The raiding party arrested eight gamblers red-handed besides recovering stake money and valuables from their possession. The nabbed gamblers were identified as Nadeem Ahmed son of Muhammad Naeem, Muneer Akhtar son of Raza Ali, Rashid Mehmud son of Muhammad Sarwar, Muhammad Irshad son of Muhammad Akbar, Muhammad Kamran son of Abdul Razzaq, Mulazim Hussain son of Muhammad Ashraf, Auarngzeb Chohan son of Sufi Bilal Hussain and Muhammad Zahoor son of Muhammad Yusuf.
During a special crackdown against the illegally living people Industrial Area Police apprehended six suspects during search operation. The detained persons have failed to produce any relevant identification documents along with the reason to stay in the Capital.
Sihala Police during routine patrolling stopped a person namely Shabbir Ahmed and on search one Kalashnikov assault rifle was recovered from him. Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons under relevant sections and investigation is underway.
