Traffic rules: Madrassah students given lecture

In an effort to extend the liaison campaign of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to religious institutions, the ITP officers visited Hassan Bin Sabit Madrassah, Tarlai in the outskirts of Federal Capital and delivered lecture to the students about the traffic rules.
The ITP Education team during its visit to the Madrassah informed the students about road safety measures and working of police department, said a spokesman of ITP here on Monday. The team members said that the basic purpose of these lectures is to create awareness about rules and regulations and promote a sense of responsibility among students, besides forging close links between ITP and seminaries to promote friendly policing culture.
Inspector ITP Education team, Mehfooz Kiani said that SSP (Traffic) Dr Moeen Masood has also stressed to deliver special lectures to religious students so that they can play their role in ensuring safe road environment in the city. With the same objective under SSP's guideline, he said the campaign will continue to promote friendly policing. Mehfooz said that the ITP efforts have not only helped establish a disciplined traffic system in the capital, but also reduced the ratio of accidents.
