Ittefaq Hospital rendering invaluable service to ailing humanity: chief minister Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Ittefaq Hospital (Trust) is rendering invaluable service to the ailing humanity for which hospital administration, doctors and paramedical staff deserved all appreciation. He said that the hospital set up by his father and brothers 25 years ago has now become a full-fledged medical institution and considered one of the best hospitals of the country.
He said that Ittefaq Hospital (Trust) is engaged in the noble cause of service to humanity with commitment and dedication. He said that the fact that Ittefaq Hospital (Trust) has spent a sum of Rs 360 million on the provision of free medical facilities to the poor and deserving patients during the last four years is highly commendable.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of intensive care unit at Ittefaq Hospital (Trust), here on Friday. Director of the Hospital Mian Javed Shafi, Chief Executive Officer Brigadier Hafeez-ud-Din Ahmad Siddiqui (Retd), Members National Assembly Umer Suhail Zia Butt, Naseer Bhutta, Members Provincial Assembly Zaeem Qadri, Dr Asad Ashraf and a large number of doctors were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that there are a number of medical institutions in the country, which are serving the ailing humanity and they are given financial assistance by the government from time to time but Ittefaq Hospital (Trust) is the only institution, which has not ever been given even a single penny from national exchequer. He said that the hospital has been equipped with latest equipment and it is being improved with its own resources.
The CM said that hospital established by his elders is now considered as one of the best and most modern hospital of the country where free medical facilities are being offered to the poor and deserving patients. He said that it is due to the hard work of Director of the hospital Mian Javed Shafi and his entire team that hospital has achieved a prominent status in the country.
He said that the doctors and paramedical staff are earning the blessings of Allah Almighty by serving the ailing humanity and they would be rewarded by Him for their humanitarian spirit and dedication. Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Brigadier Hafeez-ud-Din Ahmad Siddiqui (Retd), while giving a briefing informed that the 435-bed Ittefaq Hospital (Trust), which has been equipped with the state-of-art medical equipment has become the best medical institution of the country.
