A petition was moved on Tuesday in the Lahore High Court challenging the appointment of eight directors of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF). The petitioner a public litigation firm, Muhammad Azhar Siddique submitted that the Punjab government through a notification appointed six government officers/public servants on seats reserved for non-government directors.
He contended that the said appointments were politically motivated and in violation of law and constitution. He therefore prayed to the court to declare the said appointments as illegal.
