According to the KBP Secretary Information Muhammad Ramzan a large number of growers and relatives of local office-bearers gathered there and demanded immediate release of representatives of the growers.
Talking to the gathering, KBP President alleged that the provincial government had framed charges of terrorism against the peaceful growers staging a demonstration for ownership rights. He assured the gathering that the Board would not take rest till the release of jailed office-bearers and would also hold demonstrations on this issue through out the province. Sardar Zafar on this occasion urged the growers to fully participate in rallies and demonstrations on the call of the Board on April 8, 2011 against the cruel rulers for imposing sales tax on agricultural inputs.
