Four persons killed in various incidents

At least four persons including an activist of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) were killed in different incidents across the city on Wednesday. According to details, an activist of PPP was shot dead while the other injured at Jummah Goth Malir in the limits of Al Falah police station.
Police said some six armed men reached on three motorcycles at Baba Wilayat Shah Road and opened indiscriminate firing on pushcart stalls, leaving Ghulam Mohammad Baloch, 28, son of Dil Murad Baloch died and 25-year-old Akhter Hussain Baloch son of Mohammad Hussain Baloch injured. They were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). Police said the victim was a roadside soft drink vendor while the other victim used to sell vegetables at the place of incident. Deputy Information Secretary of PPP Karachi Division, Sohail Abdi claimed that the victim was an active worker of PPP. No case was registered till filing of this report.
In another incident, a tortured body of the elder brother of Jamaat-e-Islami activist was found in a gunny body at Mewa Shah Graveyard in the limits of Pak Colony police station. The body of the victim, who was later identified as 24-year-old Nadir Rasheed Hashmi son of Rasheed Hashmi. He was a resident of Mohammadabad Gulbahar.
Police said the victim, who had several torture marks on his body, was kidnapped before been murdered. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico legal formalities. Police further said the victim was the elder brother of former UC Nazim of Rizvia and was performing duty in Al Khidmat foundation. Police have registered an FIR No 75/11 against unidentified men on the complaint of his brother.
One 35-year-old Syed Noman son of Mahmood Ul Hassan was shot dead when he resisted a robbery attempt at Saadi Town in the limits of Malir Cantt police station. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities. Police have registered a case 45/11 against unidentified men on the complaint of the victim's brother Akhter. In yet another incident, a man committed suicide in his house at Qasba Colony Orangi Town in the jurisdiction of Pirabad police station. The deceased 35-year-old Nadeem Gul son of Hassan Gul, a resident of Awan Colony Qasba Moor, killed himself with his pistol. The body was shifted to ASH for post-mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue.
