At least three villagers including a boy and a woman were killed and six others injured when an explosive device, said to be a rocket, buried under earth in a house in Juma Goth of Taluka Jhando Marri, district Tando Allahyar, exploded on Sunday evening.
The deceased have been identified as 12-year Ashok Bheel, 35-year Shrimati Pathani and Makhan Bheel. The injured include Khanu Bheel, Amarta, Nihal, Gudi, Daee and Bhagan. All were labourers. It is said that the rocket was buried by gang of dacoits who had occupied the house making it their hideout but were killed in encounter with police a few days back.
