Pakistan State Oil has resumed supply of furnace oil to KESC, said a KESC spokesman. According to Aaj News, the spokesman said that PSO started supply of furnace oil form Monday night to the power utility. He said after the supply of furnace oil, there will be no change in loadshedding schedule in the city, however, loadshedding will not be prolonged as was earlier planned.
Earlier, sources at PSO said the federal government has released Rs 1 billion to provide furnace oil to KESC on subsidised rates. Sources said furnace oil supply was restored after payment from the government.
