Construction of ring road in Sialkot approved

Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday afternoon said that President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the mega project of construction of ring road in Sialkot costing billion of rupees and work on this mega project would be undertaken shortly. Inaugurating the office of Peoples Student Federation (PSO) in Sialkot he said that the completion of this ring road would reduce the traffic problem in the area.
Interior Minister further stated that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would be strengthened at gross root levels and its offices would be established at Union Council level in the country. In the past three years, we have struggled for purging the country from the menace of terrorism and maintaining the writ of the government in the country he said.
The Interior Minister confessed that we have not fully controlled the terrorism but Pak-Army, Rangers, Police and law enforcing agencies were playing their front foot role in curbing the menace of terrorism in the country and there services in this regard highly laudable. About target killing incidents in Karachi he said all killing linking with target killings was not correct.
About 152 incidents took place in Karachi last month but after through investigation only 42 incidents were target killing, he disclosed. He said as compared to other provinces law and order situation in Punjab is much better due to effective steps taken by the government. Scarifies and services rendered by Bhutto family and PPP workers could not be rebuffed and would be remembered in all times to come, Rehman said.
