China, the emerging economic power, is set to play a dominant role in world economy and international trade and substantial benefits of this immense economic activity can be shared by those who are well verse in Chinese language. This was said by Rector Lahore City University (LCU) Mansoor Faisal, while discussing the prospects of Chinese language in Pakistan with a Chinese delegation from Confucius Center, Islamabad.
Vice President Professor Dr Ge Lisheng and Head of Chinese Department, National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Professor Lei Weizhong, were among the delegates who visited Lahore City University and hailed the efforts of President LCU in promoting Chinese language in Pakistan.
Mansoor, also said that Chinese language was one of the widest spoken languages bearing a very important role in culture, education, industry, information technology, business and international relations. "Learning Chinese language is additional tool and a gateway to international opportunities, in a vast variety of fields in demand. Possessing Chinese language skill is a key to the doors of success in present times," he said.
