Police foil two attempts of dacoities; six held

Islamabad Police have foiled two attempts of dacoities in the city by arresting six outlaws and recovered a stolen taxi car, mobile phones, 1.270 kg charas, 250gram opium, one pistol and 118 bottles of liquor from their possession. Tarnol Police succeeded in foiling two attempts of dacoities by apprehending the main gangster along with looted items, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Tuesday.
He said that some unidentified persons tried to commit dacoity at a workshop in Sangjani area near GT Road. Police patrolling team headed by SHO Tarnol Sub-Inspector Fazal-ur-Rehman and other police officials reached spot. After seeing the police team, the dacoits managed to escape from there and tired to snatch a taxi on their way. As the police team was on chase, one of them identified as Abdul Qayum was arrested and looted items including nine mobile phones and a taxi were recovered. Police have started the investigation from the nabbed person and hopeful for the earliest arrest of his other accomplices.
In different operations Capital Police have arrested five-person for their alleged involvement in possession of illicit arms, bootlegging, drug pushing and other crime. Police recovered 118 bottles of liquor, 1.270 kg charas, 250 gram opium and one pistol from their possession, the spokesman said. CIA Police nabbed a bootlegger Qaisar for possessing 72 bottles of liquor, while Margallah Police apprehended Imran Bhatti alias Mani for having 12 bottles of liquor.
Shalimar Police arrested a foreign national Emmanuc for possessing 20 beer cans while Sabzi Mandi Police apprehended a woman drug pusher Zubaida Bibi in possession of 1.150 kg charas and 250 gram opium. Tarnol Police arrested Sajjd Hussain with 30 bore pistol, while Shehzad Town Police recovered 120 gram charas from a person namely Saddam Hussain.
During its campaign against beggars, the Capital Police have nabbed 13 beggars from different areas of the city, the spokesman said, adding that the SSP Islamabad has directed to intensify campaign against the professional beggars and ensure their arrest. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated the performance of Tarnol police team and directed all SHOs as well as SDPOs to maintain strict vigilance and patrolling in their area.
