KSE assured of police protection

The Capital City Policy Officer (CCPO) Saud Ahmed on Friday visited Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and held meeting with the management and members of the exchange. Acting Managing Director of KSE, Haroon Askari welcomed the CCPO and other police officials and briefed them about the working of the exchange. KSE Directors Abid Ali Habib, Zafar Moti and a number of the members were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the CCPO Karachi said latest technology and surveillance cameras are being used to curb crimes in the metropolis. In this regard, he said, 900 cameras have been installed at 164 different locations in the city to monitor activities.
He said the system of mobile patrolling and police check posts is being improved that will help control crimes in the city in an effective way. He assured the business community that police is committed to providing them security. To achieve this goal, steps are being taken for the capacity building and training of police, he said.
He said there is a need to increase police force and resources to curb crimes in this mega city. He lauded the services of police officials, who have sacrificed their lives while providing security to common people. DIG (Admin) Sardar Abdul Majeed and SSP Saqib Sultan were also present on the occasion.-PR
