Madiyan-Kalam Road: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approves Rs 140 million

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has approved release of supplementary grant of Rs 140 million to Pakistan Army for reconstruction of Madiyan-Kalam Road. A large portion of the road was washed away in the last year devastated flood.
The federal government have pledged the provision of resources for the project, but the Chief Minister keeping in view people difficulties and importance of the road from tourism perspective, issued supplementary grant of Rs 140 million from the resources of the province for reconstruction and rehabilitation of this road on priority basis. Pakistan Army in collaboration with Frontier Highway Authority will ensure better utilisation of these resources.
The completion of the project will benefit local community and will link these tourism areas with any sort of traffic. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti formally launched ANP membership drive by filling ANP membership form during a simple gathering here at CM Secretariat.
The membership campaign will continue till July through out the country, while organisation set up process will takes place on Union Council, Ward, village, Tapa and Tehsil level during the initial stage. The election of district, provincial and central office bearers will gradually held. ANP Provincial General Secretary Taj-ud-Din Khan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Syed Masoom Shah Bacha, ANP President KP-23 Haji Shah Nawaz Khan and General Secretary Latif-ur-Rahman and other office bearers were also present.
Talking to media person, the chief minister said, ANP is a democratic party and its elections always took place on given time. Flood has delayed election this year, he added. He said that central leadership and party central council has decided launching of membership campaign from April 15 and Friday gathering held in this connection.
