100 prominent businessmen to visit Tajikistan next month

President Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Senator Haji Ghulam Ali is soon to lead a delegation of one hundred prominent businessmen and investors to Tajikistan. The visit is aimed at exploring business opportunities in Tajikistan, to inform businessmen of the republic about openings in Pakistan and enhance people-to-people contact and cement ties.
This he said in a meeting with the Ambassador Republic of Tajikistan Dr Zubaydullo N Zubaydov held at FPCCI Capital Office. Ghulam Ali said that importance of trade and commerce has skyrocketed and no nation can ignore it. He is to visit Kazakhstan with a delegation led by Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani in the beginning of May, the Senator informed. On the occasion, the Ambassador said that we have 2000 MW of surplus power to help our elder brother Pakistan overcome shortfall.
He said that all Pakistani businessmen are getting visa in two days due to simplified procedure. Zubaydov said that we are looking forward to get benefit from know-how of Pakistani experts to boost our economy. "We are exporting aluminium, coal and dry fruits to Pakistan and importing a lot but some lobbies are conspiring by giving impression that both countries have no trade," he observed. At the occasion Malik Sohail said that APTTA will help increase bilateral trade between the two countries. He said that we are ready to facilitate Tajik businessmen and government will provide easy access to its ports, which will benefit Tajikistan.
Lead business leaders Tariq Sayeed and Iftikhar Malik are playing their role to bring people and business community of the two countries together, said Sohail. "They realise considerable potential for expansion of trade and want relations strengthening with every passing day," he added. VP FPCCI Akbar Khan, Chairman Co-ordination Raza Khan was also present.
