The rupee slipped against dollar, it, however, gained in terms of euro on the currency market on Saturday, money experts said. The rupee dropped by 13 paisa in relation to dollar for buying and selling at 84.33 and 84.38, they said. In the final Asian session dollar pared gains against euro after data showed US consumer sentiment improved in April.

According to the currency dealers, because of lacking buying support, the dollar remained under pressure and declined against the rupee. The dollar was ended lower at Rs 84.35 and Rs 84.60 against the overnight closing of Rs 84.45 and Rs 84.70, respectively.
Similarly, the rupee remained strong and recorder some of its earlier loss against the pound sterling. The pound was traded at Rs 137.00 and Rs 137.50, as compared to Friday closing of Rs 137.20 and Rs 137.80, respectively, the dealers said.
The dollar resumed trading at Rs 85.20 (buying) and Rs 85.45 (selling) against the last rate. It did not observe further change in the evening session and closed at Rs 85.20 (buying) and Rs 85.45 (selling).
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 136.35 (buying) and Rs 137.55 (selling) against the previous rate. It did not witness any change in the evening session and closed at Rs 136.35 (buying) and Rs 137.55 (selling).
