The writers' community of Pakistan observed on Tuesday the birth anniversary of legendary Urdu and Punjabi poet Munir Niazi, and paid tributes to his memorable poetry. Different programmes and conferences were arranged to recite his poetry after completion of a month's celebration of renowned poet in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Islamabad, reported a private news channel.
Punjab Arts Council (PAC) paid tributes to the noted poet for his services for art and languages in a festival held in Lahore few days back and admired the poet saying he would remain alive by his words as he hit the soul of human being through his verses. They said Munir was the man of his own will who never compromised on his ideology and faced all hardships courageously.
