Top seed Muhammad Sajjad got off an impressive start on the opening day of 27th Asian Snooker Championship when he defeated Ahmed Hassan Hadi of Iraq 4-1 in Indore (India) on Saturday, according to a message received here. 26-year-old from Sargodha, a 2-time National Champion Sajjad dropped third frame before carving out an easy win. After smart potting in the first frame, Sajjad compiled a superb break of 90 to show his class.
Though Sajjad lost the keenly fought third frame before racing to 62-28, 91-0, 69-80, 72-12, 73-13 victory. Country's ace cueman Sajjad lost to Issara Kachiwong of Thailand in last year's Asian held in Thailand.
